In a remarkable display of community engagement and collaboration, the 1st Policing and Public Safety Modernization Engagement Session turned out to be a resounding success, thanks to the active participation and insightful contributions of over 70 attendees.
The event, which was a blend of thought-provoking discussions and shared enthusiasm, showcased the community’s commitment to public safety and modern policing methods. Participants from various walks of life came together to share their perspectives, making the session both productive and enjoyable.
Building on this momentum, we are excited to announce the Second Session of this vital community engagement series. Scheduled for Saturday, 3rd February 2024, at the Gordon Head Recreation Center, this upcoming event promises to delve deeper into the crucial topics discussed in the first session. The session, running from 5:00 to 8:30 PM, will provide another platform for community members to voice their ideas and contribute to shaping a safer and more modern approach to public safety.
In recognition of the participants’ valuable time and input, the BCCAV is delighted to offer a delicious dinner at the conclusion of the session, courtesy of a recent grant. This gesture not only reflects our appreciation but also our commitment to fostering a comfortable and engaging environment for all attendees.
Registration for the Second Session is now open and can be accessed through the provided link. As seats are limited, interested participants are encouraged to register promptly to secure their spot in what promises to be an enlightening and impactful event.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who participated in the first session and eagerly look forward to your continued involvement.
